Sub-regions and settlement (city) articles
There are a number of sub-regions under this area as well as a few towns and villages. Looks like some overlap of information and a level of hierarchy that is not needed with the current number of articles. The breadcrumb hieachy of Wikivoyage does not need to mirror a government administrative structure.
There are three prefectures which also act as city articles
An article that is sort of park article covering a number of settlements (some of which are in Zhangzhou which is in a different region.)
And a village
9 articles is fine for a bottom level region, and some of these could probably be merged.
- I agree that there are too many articles representing the government structure without any benefit for the traveler. The Yongding County article should be there for compatibility reasons as some other pages link there. In my opinion, since the tulou are the main attraction of Yongding and Nanjing counties, both articles could be replaced by a redirect to Fujian Tulou. Taxia village is an old, existing article that has little benefit over the main Fujian Tulou page. Additional information that is present in Taxia could be moved to Fujian Tulou and the Taxia page be removed; otherwise, Taxia could be built into a page specifically highlighting and focussing on this particular village without blowing the Fujian Tulou page up. - I'd say T100 has it about right. The three prefecture cities should stay, especially since they are mentioned at Fujian#Cities, but we don't need separate prefecture/region articles. Wuyi Mountain is important & Taining maybe. The counties & Taxia should be merged & redirected. Pashley (talk) 12:51, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
Why was this changed from Inland Fujian to West Fujian? I see no discussion above.
