Merger[edit]

Looking at my oh so helpful guide to Luxembourg, I find that Mertert has a lack of attractions, events or any form of happening that can attract the traveler. To be exact, it offers:

  1. An archaeological dig site (Gallo-Roman).
  2. Dr. Pierre Moes-trail (10 km hiking trail)
  3. Local tours
  4. RentaBike Miserland location (bike rental).

This could be sufficient to work into an article, though I would rather see it combined for the sole reason that Mertert is small by itself, but when merged with either Grevenmacher (~2 kms south) and/or Wasserbillig (town borders meet), it will be more useful and easy to comprehend as all three locations are fairly close and visitors will be rather likely to combine their stay in one of the three with (possibly recurring) visits to the two other towns. Merging all three places would result in a city-article covering a region, as is the case for Land of the Red Rocks, would result in an article for the Grevenmacher Canton or simply Grevenmacher.

Since I can see this become a point, I wish to mention it: When debating about the Land of the Red Rocks page creation, I did say in reply to Ikan that many more city-articles for the cantons would not be created, but in reality this is a case-by-case situation, and in the end, this might even be the better way to approach articles for Luxembourg. This, as for right now, is not my aim. My aim is to make articles to destinations in Luxembourg as useful and comprehensive to the traveler as possible while keeping the page hierarchy easily navigable.
