Does anyone know whether American Orient Express offers tours in Canada? Looking at its website [1] I only saw offerings in the United States. (WT-en) JYolkowski 20:23, 23 January 2007 (EST)

I'm guessing that since it (or whatever it's called now) has gone out of business, the answer is "no". I'm removing it. (WT-en) JYolkowski 20:19, 11 November 2008 (EST)

"Tour Operators" section[edit]

Please explain why this does not violate Wikivoyage:Activity listings#Tour listings. I'm very tempted to zap the entire section. Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:45, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

And, absent any further discussion, I just zapped the section. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:14, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

News on rail travel in Canada[edit]

So If I am informed correctly, the not so new anymore government of Justin Trudeau has announced to invest in rail on all levels, and apparently it is taking some concrete shape, if this article is to be trusted. It does not look like something happening immediately, but we should perhaps be on the lookout for changes to come. Hobbitschuster (talk) 22:18, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Tipping[edit]

@Ground Zero, Pashley: Since you guys are Canadians, are you expected to tip the food servers and sleeping car attendents on the VIA Rail and the Rocky Mountaineer? If so, I think this information, as well as how much you are expected to tip, should be included in this article. Canada might be slightly different, but from what I've read, in the U.S., the Amtrak severs and sleeping car attendants do expect tips. The dog2 (talk) 20:30, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I gavent taken Via except on short journeys, and I have not taken the Rocky Mountaineer, so I can't help out here. Maybe TripAdvisor can help? This would be useful information. Ground Zero (talk) 07:46, 29 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
