Map link[edit]

An English online interactive map of Sochi can be found here: [1].

Removed this link, but it may be useful for contributors, so I'll put it here. (WT-en) texugo 10:06, 4 July 2011 (EDT)

Reversion question[edit]

Swept in from the pub

I've had to revert this edit three times already, and so I'm reluctant to do so again, but I can't figure out why this is being removed. Any thoughts? (WT-en) LtPowers 19:06, 16 September 2011 (EDT)

It's not clear why the original text is being removed, so provided the info isn't incorrect then your revert seems fine. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 20:35, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
The user in question left a note on my talk page explaining the deletion. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 21:53, 16 September 2011 (EDT)
Odd that he did so for you but not for me. The explanation is also unsatisfying, for reasons I explained on your talk page. (WT-en) LtPowers 09:06, 17 September 2011 (EDT)

Olympic article?[edit]

I already started creating an Olympic article for the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang. If anyone knows Sochi then maybe they could create a similar one? --Andrewssi2 (talk) 15:18, 21 October 2013 (UTC)

Alternative banner for this article?[edit]

Banner currently used in this article
Suggested new alternative banner

I have previously created an alternative banner for this article (which was initially created for the parallel article at the Hebrew Wikivoyage, but I decided to suggest we'll use it here at the English Wikivoyage article as well). Which banner do you prefer that we'll use on the top of this article? ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 13:31, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

  • The current banner would be good for an article about palm trees. The new banner shows us Sochi. Ground Zero (talk) 18:30, 13 March 2021 (UTC)
  • New banner. The current one feels too generic. --Nelson Ricardo (talk) 02:11, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
  • I assume the original was chosen for the (perceived?) novelty of palm trees in Russia. In that context, they make sense as a banner.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 16:17, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
