Capitalization of "southeastern"

Is the banner too Snowy Mtns specific?

Just wondering, but is it too Snowy Mountains specific? The Snowies do make up most of the region, but could this banner on the right make up a more neutral kind of scene between the coast and the Snowy Mountains? For a bit more context, both the Far South Coast and the Sapphire Coast are very hilly, so a banner of mountains would make sense. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 13:29, 2 July 2022 (UTC)

Because this article also covers the South and Sapphire Coasts too and finding snow in both these regions is next-to-impossible. But I too like the alternate banner better. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 02:21, 3 July 2022 (UTC)

I don't see the banner showing what's merely one famous attraction in the region (city, whatever) being a problem. I consider Banners 1-2 clearly inferior to the existing banner, and Banner 2 is - nothing personal - totally boring to me. Someone who had never seen snow might find it interesting, except that they've probably had the chance to see many other photos of snow. I'd suggest keeping the banner as is. A minor static map request

Swept in from the pub

Unfortunately, my Inkscape is unwilling to properly work after it recently crashed, so I'm wondering if anyone here is willing to do a minor change to the static map in Southeastern New South Wales.

Currently, the text in the northeastern region says "Far South Coast". However, our article is now called Eurobodalla – I'm wondering if anyone is able to edit the text to say "Eurobodalla" instead of "Far South Coast".

I made a try, commenting out the tspan etc. of "Far" and replacing "South" and "Coast" with "Euro-" respectively "bodalla". I don't know the SVG syntax, so something went wrong: the text was still placed at the former two lines, not the latter ones. It doesn't look very nice like this, but if nobody is fixing it soon, I'll upload that version. Note that it's the SVG version that should be edited, not the PNG version linked from the image. –LPfi (talk) 08:44, 9 October 2022 (UTC)

For sure! It's odd that Inkscape would've crashed like that. I feared that the same would happen when I opened the file, but it did not.

By the way, I wasn't sure on the size of the original image and since there was a slight issue on the lower side of the file, I adjusted the crop somewhat.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Inkscape and it worked! I don't know what would have happened to cause that, though. I also tried reopening File:New England NSW regions map.png again and to my surprise, Inkscape works completely fine. Either way, thanks for the compliment :-).
