Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Soongki! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals.

Thanks very much for adding content! Thanks, too, for using listing templates! One additional thing to keep in mind is that default address info is left out of listings on this site. So, for example, in the Donghae article, Donghae-si, Gangwon-do is default address info and should be left out or removed from all listings.

Thanks again, and all the best,

Chuncheon and Wonju

[edit]

Thanks for the listings you've added to these articles. I am going to ask you to make the following corrections;

  • Please use 24-hour clock in Korea articles.
  • This article is about Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do, so we don't have to repeat that information in listings. The same for Wonju-si, Gangwon-do.
  • We don't list "what is nearby" for hotels.
  • The Lego company can choose to type its name and "Legoland" all in capital letters for advertising purposes, but Wikivoyage uses standard English capitalisation. We also don't put the (R) symbol into text.

Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 13:19, 19 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Soongki: you have continued to make the same mistakes in Busan/North, Busan/Suyeong, Busan/West and Seoul/West. Why are you doing this? If you not understand what I wrote above? If you have questions, please ask them, and I will answer you. Please correct your mistakes instead of leaving them for other editors to . Thank you. @Ground Zero Thanks for your point. I've made the changes as requested. However, since the drink or eat listing process allows you to choose between 24-hour or AM/PM notation for hours, we figured the same applies to hotel listings. Soongki (talk) 06:04, 8 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
At the top of Talk:South Korea, you will see a box where we explain the formatting style for South Korea articles. (A similar box appears at the top of the talk page for every country article.) This explains that we use the 24-hour clock for South Kirwa articles, and for China and for Japan). Thank you for starting to fix these errors. Ground Zero (talk) 03:35, 9 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
And thank for making the changes. Ground Zero (talk) 20:13, 16 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
