Palm Crest Hotel

I moved the listing for Palm Crest Hotel from Osun State#Eat to Gbongan#Sleep. The Eat section in region articles is mostly for telling about the regional cuisine(s) and perhaps about different kinds of eateries and other relevant issues. Individual listings should go into lowest level articles, such as city articles. If the hotel isn't in Gbongan, I made mistakes when editing the listing or this isn't a hotel at all, then please make the appropriate edits and/or tell me. –LPfi (talk) 10:05, 18 January 2023 (UTC)

The "Don't tout" guidelines

Hello, and thanks for these edits, but they violate this site's Wikivoyage:Don't tout guidelines. If you could read that link and edit the listings accordingly, that would be much appreciated.

OK, let's take this as an example:

• Chunique Royal Hotel & Suites, 14 Afam Ofordeme Street Umudim, Okpunoegbu Nnewi, Anambra State Nigeria, ☏ +234907 276 9174, info@chuniqueroyalhotel.com. Chunique Royal Hotel & Suites is a hospitality service center that offers luxurious accommodation, banqueting and conferencing facilities thus a modern day hotel situated in the ancient city of Nnewi in Anambra State. NGN. (updated Mar 2023)

"Luxurious accommodation" is not specific, but if you describe the accommodations, readers could determine whether they are luxurious or not. Where it's situated is specified in the address, and actually, we don't include default address information, either, such as the state. So what would be left in the "content" tab if what's considered touting on this site were eliminated is "Hotel that also has banqueting and conferencing facilities." It would be great if you could add more specifics.

Another example:

• The Seymour Hotel, Plot 44 Nnobi Road, Nnewi, Anambra State, ☏ +234816 819 6900, theseymourhotel@gmail.com. The Seymour Hotel features an indoor bar, luxurious rooms, a lounge, a restaurant, and many more amenities to make guests' stays as comfortable as possible. (updated Mar 2023)

That's more informative, but here's how it would look if I detouted the listing and eliminated default address info:

• The Seymour Hotel, Plot 44 Nnobi Road, ☏ +234816 819 6900, theseymourhotel@gmail.com. Features an indoor bar, a lounge and a restaurant. (updated Mar 2023)

Again, though, maybe you can paint a somewhat detailed picture of the rooms, so people reading can get a sense of what is luxurious about them.
