Welcome message[edit]

Hello, Wekahash! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals. Pashley (talk) 12:04, 1 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to welcome you, too, and thank you for your contributions. I do have concerns, however, about whether information on honorary consulates is useful for travellers. I have asked comments from other contributors in the Travellers' Pub here. Please join the discussion. Ground Zero (talk) 15:02, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

repeated links[edit]

Please stop adding dozens of repeated links to airlines to articles. You can link each airline only once. Excessive links are ugly and violate Wikivoyage policy. Ground Zero (talk) 01:19, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

And please remove the repeated links to articles where you have added them. Thank you Ground Zero (talk) 01:24, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your guidance. I will review the info. There was no uglyness or misdemeanor intended. Wekahash (talk) 10:06, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Ground Zero I removed the repeated links on all the pages I edited. Thank you again for your instructions. Wekahash (talk) 14:28, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks very much, Wekahash. Ground Zero (talk) 15:02, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also please look at our external links policy. All links should be to primary sources, such as an airport or airline's own page. Links to booking engines are the first thing mentioned at Wikivoyage:External_links#What_not_to_link_to. So, for starters all your links to wizzair.com should be removed. Pashley (talk) 11:38, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Pashley Your message is confusing me. You stated the link should be to primary sources, such as airlines' own page. Wizzair is an airline and the links lead to the airline website, not a third party booking website. Why the links to the airline should be removed? Wekahash (talk) 14:26, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you're right that Wizzair links should stay since it is an airline. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 20:35, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My error. Apologies. Pashley (talk) 10:35, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No worries! Wekahash (talk) 10:52, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
