Can Videos be posted on wikivoyage

Can videos be posted here on wikivoyage Asked by: Dagentle (talk) 21:27, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

For sure. When Wikivoyage was founded over 20 years ago (as Wikitravel), the idea was that these would be good print-out guides. Since digital devices are far more common now, it would 100% make sense to include video to explain things and show off natural beauty. If you haven't seen, we have a sister project Wikimedia Commons for uploading media. See c:COMM:LICENSE for info about what kinds of media are acceptable there that can be used on Wikivoyage. —Justin (koavf)TCM 21:39, 6 March 2024 (UTC) Evidently, in principle, yes, but in practice, no. Thanks. —Justin (koavf)TCM 01:41, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're wrong. No, they can't be. Please read Wikivoyage:Image policy#Other media. If you would like to restart discussion on whether the prohibition on videos should be lifted, look at this thread, where videos start to get discussed a bit past "(reindent}", and start a new thread on Wikivoyage talk:Image policy. Studies, investment and citizenship in Japan

I want to study and invest in Osaka and I'm also trying to gain the Japanese nationality. Will it all work out? Asked by: 41.116.124.162 17:46, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not unless you're willing to commit years to living in Japan and learning the language. Japan does not have a citizenship by investment program. Jpatokal (talk) 01:46, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Japan is notoriously difficult to obtain citizenship (even by marriage). You might want to rethink about using study/investment as a pathway to obtain its citizenship. OhanaUnitedTalk page 02:05, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm pretty sure it won't get you citizenship, but web search for "Japan investor visa" does get many hits.
We do have some info on investment visas for various countries at Retiring_abroad#Investor visa, but I think some of it is out-of-date. In particular, the link there for Japan did not work when I tried it. Pashley (talk) 11:16, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
