The North Sea Trail is a hiking trail through the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The trail has a theoretical total length of about 4900 km, but so far only about 3700 km have been developed.

Moray Firth
Aberdeenshire coastal trail
Aberdeenshire is one of the partner regions that maintain a leg of the trail. It follows the beach from 7 Cullen through 8 Fraserburgh and 9 Peterhead to 10 Montrose.
Fife coastal path
- 1 Fife Coastal Path. Fife has path around most of its coast, passing through St Andrews, Aberdour, Leven, Kirkcaldy, Burntisland, North Queensferry, Rosyth and Culross.
John Muir Way
- The John Muir Way. is a path from Helensburgh on the Clyde to Dunbar. The eastern part of the route takes you through The Lothians from 11 Bo'ness via 12 Edinburgh to 13 Dunbar.
Berwickshire Coastal Path
This Berwickshire Coastal Path starts about 9 mi (14 km) south of Dunbar. the John Muir Link path follows the coast to link the two paths.
- 2 Berwickshire Coastal Path. is a path through the Scottish Borders from 14 Cockburnspath (where it links with the Southern Upland Way), via 15 Eyemouth and across the border to 16 Berwick-upon-Tweed
Northumberland Coast Path
- Northumberland Coast Path. is a 63 mi (101 km) path from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Cresswell (near Morpeth).
Cleveland Way
The North Sea Trail uses the coastal section of the Cleveland Way.
- Cleveland Way. is a path through the North York Moors. The coastal section goes from 17 Saltburn-by-the-Sea to 18 Filey
The trails follow the Dutch coast over a 725 km (450 mi) long route.
- Hærvejen (Ox Road). The trail is inland for this section from 21 Padborg to 22 Frederikshavn.
