Alternate banner for this article
[edit]The current banner is mistaken for the river itself rather than the town named Cann River. The second banner is also somewhat representative since it's a popular spot for those coming on the Monaro Highway. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 01:56, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
- Both images are much too small and blurry. Please refer to Wikivoyage:Banners for minimum size recommendations. Commons is full of great images whose sizes fall short of our standards for banners. Nelson Ricardo (talk) 02:12, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
- These were the only two images on commons that suits a banner. Commons is getting mistaken for a river named Cann River also in Victoria to the town named Cann River. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 03:05, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
- You might want to try CC Search. Check both "Use commercially" and "Modify or adapt" to find images that are acceptable for upload to Wikimedia Commons. Nelson Ricardo (talk) 03:39, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

I have created a new banner,Alternate banner 3. This is 2,288 × 327 and so meets the minimum size. The picture was says it is of Princes Highway, which passes through the village, and Ward St appears in the picture which is on the map here, so the picture is of the correct location. - I like alternative #2. Great Zimbabwe, for example, uses a 1600px banner. This is OK if there are no better alternatives. I like #3 but the view of #2 is the more unusual of the two images. #1’s resolution is too low. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 18:49, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
- I'd pick #3, purely on picture quality. Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:08, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
- #3, per above. Ground Zero (talk) 02:39, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
