Split into subregions[edit]
This region has too many cities, so I would like to split into the following subregions: Budapest, Danube Bend, Pest County
Each subregions would have the following cities:
Budapest:
Danube Bend:
- Dunakeszi (Fót, Göd)
- Vác
- Esztergom
- Szentendre (Pomáz, Budakalász, Visegrád)
- Pilisvörösvár
- Szob (Nagymaros)
- Rétság
Pest County:
- Érd (Százhalombatta, Törökbálint)
- Szigetszentmiklós (Dunaharaszti, Szigethalom, Halásztelek, Tököl, Dunavarsány)
- Cegléd (Abony, Albertirsa)
- Gödöllő (Veresegyház, Pécel, Kistarcsa, Isaszeg)
- Budakeszi (Budaörs, Biatorbágy, Zsámbék)
- Gyál (Ócsa)
- Nagykőrös
- Vecsés (Maglód, Üllő)
- Monor (Gyömrő, Pilis)
- Dabas (Örkény)
- Nagykáta (Tápiószele)
- Ráckeve
- Aszód (Tura)

- 15 articles is not too many in its self, but maybe once the listing in the region page are moved out to city article this should be considered. --Traveler100 (talk) 15:14, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

Alternative banner for this article?[edit]
I have previously created an alternative banner for this article (which was initially created for the parallel article at the Hebrew Wikivoyage, but I decided to suggest we'll use it here at the English Wikivoyage article as well). Which banner do you prefer that we'll use on the top of this article? ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 13:31, 13 March 2021 (UTC)
- I question whether it's appropriate to have a banner of Budapest for a region article. Why do you think that's preferable, as pretty as it is? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:55, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
- Central Hungary is not that big, and is dominated by the city. Between these two, I much prefer #2, but if a rural scene is preferable, would suggest a source image depicting the Buda Hills, particularly an autumnal one (the best wild leaf colours I've seen in Europe).--ThunderingTyphoons!
