Mount Manghilaw[edit]

Original Mount Manghilaw listing had not coordinates and has no directions

  • 1 Mount Manghilaw (Mount Manghilao). outside town is popular as a trekking destination; there is a large cross near the top.

Looking at some internet sites came across the spelling Mount Manghilao. Also on some maps Danao Peak is marked. So I think the location I input is possibly correct but I am not 100% confident about it. Can someone confirm, expand or correct this information? --Traveler100 (talk) 06:53, 8 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Religious sites?[edit]

According to Talk:Cebu_(city)#Re-organize_some_things?, the Cebu City article once listed "Life-size statues of popes, Stations of the Cross and Mysteries of the Holy Rosary in Danao City." The listing has long since been removed there; should something be added here? Pashley (talk) 18:47, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think a few key religions sites and status should be added but which ones I would not know. --Traveler100 (talk) 19:03, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Name change?[edit]

Should this be at just "Danao" rather than "Danao City"? See Talk:Philippines#City names. Pashley (talk) 13:43, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What's the most common name, and would Danao confuse anyone? Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:47, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I do not think it would cause confusion since there is no city/province ambiguity, as there is for "Cebu City", "Quebec City", etc.
Neither name is very common; I'm not sure I've ever heard them come up in conversation.
WP uses w:Danao, Cebu. Google gives over 6 million hits for Danao & about a tenth as many (600-odd thousand) for "Danao City". Pashley (talk) 08:03, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, it's obvious that Wikivoyage:Naming conventions would dictate the move you propose. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:01, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
