Proposed merger[edit]
- Oppose - merging this lengthy article into North Iceland, whichnis a well-defined region article, would overwhelm that article. Myvatn is a well-known tourist destination because of its many sites lying close together. Thered be a better argument for merging the two tiny village articles, Reykjahlíð and Skútustaðir, into this article. They are not so much destinations as places with a few hotels that people use as a base for visiting Myvatn. Ground Zero (talk) 11:45, 31 March 2018 (UTC)
- Merging the two villages up into this article would work. May as you say be better. --Traveler100 (talk) 13:43, 31 March 2018 (UTC)
- I support keeping Mývatn and treating it as a city article, merging Reykjahlíð and Skútustaðir into it. MartinJacobson (talk) 12:19, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
- Merger completed. Ground Zero (talk) 15:24, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
- Perhaps it'd be a good idea to rename 'city template' to 'destination template', or something like that? Andree.sk (talk) 12:30, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
