KTX Network Image

[edit]

Thanks User:Ypsilon for noticing this article! It has long been on my to-do list. The image of the KTX train network is actually out of date, since the line to Mokpo has long been active. (The image shows it under construction) Does anyone know whether we can source an up to date image that is permissible under Wikimedia? Andrewssi2 (talk) 19:14, 9 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

I just noticed that myself, as I'm looking through/searching WP for "fresher" information about KTX lines. I don't know where to find a map, maybe our Korean friends from the Seoul district discussion can help? ϒpsilon (talk) 19:22, 9 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
WP looks somewhat out of date on this subject, and http://www.korail.com/ gives only basic information. I'm also getting confusing information regarding the new route to the Olympic city of Pyeongchang, which was going to be a dedicated KTX line, but now may be KTX trains using normal tracks, or maybe just normal trains. Hard to know for sure :) Andrewssi2 (talk) 20:33, 9 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
There's probably good and up to date info on the web, in Korean... 한국어가 읽야 합니다…… ϒpsilon (talk) 20:55, 9 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
Most likely.. I wonder if User:거북이 could help out again? I could also give it a go with my basic Korean reading ability. Andrewssi2 (talk) 23:51, 9 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Incheon Airport

[edit]

Also didn't notice that the KTX line will reach Incheon airport by end of this year! http://www.korea.net/NewsFocus/Society/view?articleId=104880 Andrewssi2 (talk) 20:36, 9 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Booking

[edit]

When I try to switch the Korail Website to English (I can't read Hangeul, sorry) I can't find a booking option anywhere. What's that? Is this the equivalent of linking deutschebahn.com instead of bahn.de ? Hobbitschuster (talk) 16:06, 20 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Expand to generic "Rail travel in South Korea" article

[edit]

I think this makes sense, given how we do that for rail travel in all other countries. We don't have articles specifically about high-speed rail in any other country. The dog2 (talk) 19:06, 5 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
