I do. IMO, I don't really support having a banner depicting Uluru in three pages and it's way too specific to be representative of the region as a whole. Settlements

Charlotte Waters is listed as town, but the linked Wikipedia article says "Only a ruin remains today". If there is no town, just ruins of historic significance, shouldn't it be an other destination, or at least described as a former town? Yulara is described as a resort town, with nothing but tourists and the staff. Is Alice Springs the only real town in the area? –LPfi (talk) 11:34, 15 June 2022 (UTC)

In Australia, a settlement needs to have at least over 200 inhabitants to be considered a town, and over 10,000 inhabitants to be a city. In this case, Alice Springs is the only city (as it has over 10k inhabitants), and it's one of only two cities of its size in the Outback (the other being Broken Hill in New South Wales).

However there are several towns and communities with populations between 200 and 10,000 in the Red Centre such as the Ltyentye Apurte Community or Mutitjulu, but these are not destinations a tourist would want to go to. There is also Ghan, which is a community of 124, but all that's there for travellers in Ghan is a roadhouse.

For Charlotte Waters, it's definitely an Other destination – you need to drive 208 km on unsealed roads, and even then, it has a population of zero. But I don't think it passes wv:wiaa, so I don't think it should be linked. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 11:59, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
