I live in Redmond, but spend almost as much time in Bellevue. I have previously lived in Philadelphia, New York, Phnom Penh, Stung Treng, Kobe, Tokyo, Seattle, Olympia, Glen Ellyn, Claremont, Upland, Nashville, and Gresham. I have been to most of the major cities in the United States, and also to the Netherlands, France, Japan, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, and Cambodia. My native language is English, and I also know Japanese. As I do not own a car or even have a driver's license (unlike most Americans), I take a special interest in how to get to and around places without a car.
