Hello, Balkanique! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

Thank you very much for your contributions to articles about places in Turkey!

One minor point: I know the term allez-retour from French, but I don't at least personally know anyone who uses it in English (maybe some bilingual folks in Quebec?). Instead, there's the British expression "return (ticket)" and the American expression "round-trip (ticket)".

All the best,

Wikidata and Geo coordinates[edit]

Hi Balkanique, I came across one of your edits by chance. It seems that you replaced correct geo coordinates with wrong ones in this edit in Rome/Trastevere by updating "shared fields using values from Wikidata". I didn't check any of your similar edits, but I think it's good to keep in mind that geo coordinates do not necessarily have to match exactly between wikidata and wikivoyage. The mismatch can be there on purpose, for example to put the geo marker at the entrance of the listing sight where its more useful for the traveler, and not at the center of the sight. So, simply overwriting existing geo coordinates seems a bit too risky to me, resulting in errors like the one above. Nonetheless, thanks a lot for all your helpful edits. Unfortunately, a similar problem with wrong geo coordinates is in this edit.Xsobev (talk) 20:59, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

More unchecked wikidata overwrites[edit]

Hi Balkanique, as I pointed out in an earlier section of your discussion page, please verify what information you're overwriting when importing wikidata information in the listings editor. I've seen again some edits (example 1 example 2) where you removed correct information (such as the URL pointing to the English version of the webpage, or removing the URL which points to the actual sight and not the start page, and some random geo coordinate overwrite). This destroys work other people have done, and makes WV less trustworthy. Perhaps you don't read your discussion page, but this is too important to just ignore. Ok, sorry for the mistakes. I’ll take care of it from now on.
