Upgrading article to usable

I was working on Asheboro and to me it looks like it isn't an outline anymore. Can I upgrade this to usable status by myself, or do I need someone's permission? JiaoNi (talk) 23:22, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@JiaoNi: Hi; there's no requirement that you get anyone's permission. But it's a good idea to get permission from an experienced user so your edit doesn't get reverted. I'm not totally sure. Granger, another one of the Wikivoyage admins, is quite knowledgable at article status and probably has a good idea of whether upgrading to usable is wise or not. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 03:15, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I would say just look at Wikivoyage:City guide status. If it fulfills all the requirements for "Usable", go ahead and upgrade its status. Only if you're not sure would it make sense to ask, and in that case, I'd recommend posting to Talk:Asheboro and asking whether the article is already Usable, or if not, what needs to be edited to make it so. I agree it looks usable. And I second what the others said, if it meets the requirements, you can upgrade it yourself. —Granger (talk · contribs) 05:28, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
ok, thank you JiaoNi (talk) 10:34, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

At least for city articles it's extremely easy to see if an article is usable. It needs at least 1. one way for Getting in, 2. something to See (or Do), 3. one place where you can Eat, 4. one place where you can Sleep. --Ypsilon (talk) 18:03, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

AvicBot

Hi, I wasn't sure where to put this, so I will put it here. I recently was trying to get to the tourist office but I saw that User:AvicBot changed "Tourist office" so that it redirected to "Tourist office on stilts". "Traveller's pub" also was redirected to "Traveller's pub on wheels". Just pointing it out. JiaoNi (talk) 19:50, 23 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please report those kinds of things when they happen at Wikivoyage:Vandalism in progress. After they're corrected, it's best to forget about them. All sites are susceptible to vandalism, and especially those like Wikis that anyone can edit without prior approval. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:04, 23 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
