Article | Status | To do |

Kolkata | Usable | To be a Guide, a Huge City that's districted must have all district articles at Usable level or better. Many improvements have been made, and Kolkata/Chowringhee, Kolkata/Maidan, Kolkata/South, Kolkata/North Kolkata, Kolkata/Northern Suburbs, and Kolkata/East are now all Usable. Kolkata/Esplanade, Kolkata/Eastern Suburbs and Kolkata/Southwest are Outline. It also looks like it needs a bit of copy editing. And while it might be OK to mention some specific establishments in the "Drink" section, using bullets is questionable, and the article for the district they're in should be linked when mentioning them. In general, this is a pretty good Usable article on its own strength, but not yet at Guide level, even disregarding the problems with the district articles. |
Baharampur | Outline | The writing style is decent, but the article is lacking in information, especially location and contact info for listings, which should be templated. Also completely lacks images. |
Bardhaman | Usable | This article is a little short but off to a good start. It has a map and some nice images. Listings could also use more description - it's great that they're templated and have geo, but what's interesting and fun or beautiful about them? Also, "Do" and "Drink" are blank, and the two foodstuffs mentioned in "Eat" should be explained. |
Chandannagar | Outline | This article has a lot of information in a breezy writing style that's pleasant but still could be edited somewhat. The main issue is that it needs more thorough listification, with more location information, especially in "Eat" and "Sleep". It also needs a map. This city may be small by Indian standards, but it seems like a regionally important place in terms of attractions, history and events. The core content of this article is a good basis for not only a Usable article, but potentially a Guide that would be an interesting Off the Beaten Path feature. |
Darjeeling | Usable | The "Get around" section is problematic because a proposed walking itinerary lists some points of interest that lack listings below. This should be remedied. "Buy" listings need clearer location info, it would seem. Actually, that's a general problem with listings. How are readers supposed to find an "Eat" listing that has no location info at all? Darjeeling is one of the most famous Indian cities worldwide, because of its tea. Making this article a Guide should be a high priority of this expedition. |
Durgapur | Usable | The "See" section is nicely templated and has some interesting listings. Some other sections, including "Eat", lack listings at all. Also lacks images other than a pagebanner and a map. This would be a really nice article to turn into a Guide and feature. We're sure no industrial Indian city has yet been featured. |
Howrah | Usable | The issue with this article is really information. What's already in the article seems fine; it's just not enough for more than Guide status. |
Murshidabad | Outline | This feels like a Usable article but isn't because there is no "Eat" listing, and Usable city articles must have at least one "Eat" listing with contact information. There are also no "Do" listings. However, what it certainly doesn't lack is content, nor photos, which are present in abundance (and certainly not excess). This is a very interesting destination, full of things to see. Usable status is very attainable, with Guide clearly possible. If this could be made into a featurable article, it could be a pretty splendid one. |
Siliguri | Guide | This is a pretty solid Guide article. All that would be needed to make it a Star, which is a good deal of work by someone who knows the city well and can add location information and descriptions where needed, plus any additional content or updates that are required. |
