[edit]Maybe larger ferries would be better. --Traveler100 (talk) 07:59, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
- I find #3 the prettiest. Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:22, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
- I've found the "idea" of the Option 2 best, but I wish it was more colourful and less grainy/blurry. Vidimian (talk) 08:38, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
- Option2 would be good if it were a bit higher quality... Otherwise Option3. Hobbitschuster (talk) 17:35, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
- Unfortunately it was a dull day at time so difficult even with software enhancement to get a better quality for option 2. Should we go for option 3? --Traveler100 (talk) 10:50, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
- Any of them is better than the original. /Yvwv (talk) 12:42, 13 April 2016 (UTC)

What this article still needs
[edit]The article feels a bit short. Is there more non- obvious stuff that can be said about ferries in general? Or is this article mostly intended as a place to link to more detailed articles on specific (groups of) routes from? Hobbitschuster (talk) 17:34, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
- Using the handbrake and using the gears to avoid the car moving in rough seas should be obvious, but I think many drivers forget to do it properly. The car deck on bigger ferries not being available during voyage may also be a surprise (have a bag with what you need on board). Mentioning luggage rooms, lockers etc. could also be useful. From the top of my head. Then there are lots of small tricks (e.g. places to sleep when you do not have a cabin or bunk). --LPfi (talk) 20:17, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
Some nice ferry videos on Youtube for virtual travel
[edit]These days sadly the Internet is the only way to "travel". If you like to travel on boats and ferries, check out the Marine Diesel YT channel. The user has documented their ferry voyages around the world and the videos are quite nice with information for ship fans but without the blah blah blah. Ypsilon (talk) 19:03, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
Possible addition
[edit]This unique ferry... Hobbitschuster (talk) 15:11, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
- There used to be several Scottish ferries like the one at Glenelg with a turntable, but the short routes they operated on were replaced by bridges in the last 30-50 years. If you know this ferry, pleasse expand the details in Glenelg. AlasdairW (talk) 16:58, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
- I do not know more than is in the video. Hobbitschuster (talk) 19:50, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
