"Understand"[edit]

Some of this text can be found elsewhere. Is this fair use? Even if so, wouldn't sources have to be identified in edit summaries or on this page? Ikan Kekek (talk) 12:20, 28 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@SelfieCity: (pinging you as you created this article) Isn't this article a duplicate of Lagos to Ibadan by train (which was created on Oct 21, 2021, two months before you created this)? --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 08:04, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@SelfieCity, SHB2000: as this is a duplicate article, there is no need to discuss this. It should be merged right away. Ground Zero (talk) 14:58, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. --Comment by Selfie City (talk) (contributions) 20:35, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SelfieCity Since you have agreed, feel free to merge it. Veracious (talk) 08:00, 20 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Should the merge be done the other way instead? This article seems to have to have more content and a corresponding Wikidata item. JsfasdF252 (talk) 06:02, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've merged it. This merge should have been done right away as the articles were diverging. It does not help the traveller or Wikivoyage to create a duplicate article and then walk away and leave it for someone else to deal with. Ground Zero (talk) 12:38, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Ground Zero – I had completely forgotten about this. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 12:58, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
SelfieCity created the duplicate article, and should have done the merge. It's not your job to clean up after them. Ground Zero (talk) 13:11, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I know – but I still feel bad for leaving a problem that I had known about untouched (I realise we're volunteers and we're not "forced" to clean up after one-another, but...). --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 13:24, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
