Photo nominated for deletion from Commons

[edit]

See this discussion. Should we keep a local copy of this photo in case it is deleted from Commons, or is that not so important? Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:29, 24 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Ouch. This will have a chilling effect for all South Korean pictures and banners, and probably many other countries as well.
I have saved a local copy. Perhaps we need to migrate all these panorama photos to WV? --Andrewssi2 (talk) 07:46, 24 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yes indeed, if it's ruled that they have to be deleted from Commons just because a copyrighted building is in the picture, even if it's not the focus of the picture. Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:09, 24 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Many countries, including Estonia, France and Iceland have similar laws, and I have on multiple occasions got my pics deleted from Commons in bulk. It totally sucks. ϒpsilon (talk) 09:30, 24 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Climate data

[edit]

@IkJin2: Thanks for adding the climate chart! That's very helpful information.

Can you include a link to the website page where you got the data? (It's okay if the website is only in Korean.) This is helpful so that in the future, someone can check whether there's newer data available. Look at how this is linked on Daejeon#Climate and Gwangju#Understand.

Format the link like [http://website.co.kr/page Text to link], which will display like "Text to link".

Thanks! --Bigpeteb (talk) 16:48, 4 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

- I put the data under the climate chart! Thank you! —The preceding comment was added by Linksang (talkcontribs)

Usable article

[edit]

@IkJin2: I think this article is good enough to be usable. Providing information about Songdo climate looks good. Because when it comes to travel climate is one of the most important information. And information about subway(Gps data, name of station) also looks good. It contains good information that makes travelers can find good places to sleep and eat there, and have some pointers for what to see or do.

But there are something to add more. First need some more pictures. There is just one picture of Songdo. So it will be better if you add more picture. And add some GPS data of restaurant and cafe and address, phone number, opening hours. Need more hotel information like check-in, check-out hour, price of room, and hotel desk opening hour.

It would be perfect if you add information that i've written above. —The preceding comment was added by Linksang (talkcontribs)

Hello, thank you for the great content! Since Songdo is a new city and Incheon is next to Songdo, I think more can be put in 'Do' part. I'd appreciate it if you could add more 'Do' parts.

Hello, thank you for the good work^^. I recommend adding a way to go to 'Get in' item by car or bus. Please add bus item in Get around item. &Please add more cafes in Songdo. Tichiel (talk)

For Songdo, I suggest file:Songdo_Central_Park_and_Posco_Tower_Songdo.jpg The existing 'Songdo' banner is too cloudy and dull. I think a bright banner where you can see Songdo at a glance would be better. And I recommended minimum dimensions are 2100*300 pixels.Hojong9474 (talk) 05:55, 21 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Hojong9474, here are the two banners:

I like them both. The top (blue) picture looks cool because it's unusual. The bottom picture looks good because it is realistic. I would be happy with either one.

I've listed this on WV:RFC if anyone else wants to comment. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 10:17, 27 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Both boring skyline shots, but the not-blue one has more pixels at least. ButteBag (talk) 12:31, 27 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
I prefer the second one. It is a clearer picture, and I like that you can see the greenery between the towers. AlasdairW (talk) 21:33, 27 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
I agree. --Comment by Selfie City (talk) (contributions) 12:00, 29 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
I agree, too. Much better. Ikan Kekek (talk) 13:50, 29 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Hojong9474, it looks like everyone agrees with your proposal. Now it's time to make the change.
Do you know how to change the banner? You can do it yourself. It's easier to do in the old wikitext source code. Click "Edit source" to open this article and find the banner code at the top of the wikitext. It says: {{pagebanner|Songdo_Banner.jpg}} now.
Take out the old banner name (Songdo_Banner.jpg) and put in the new banner name (File:Songdo alt banner.jpg). Scroll down the page. Add an edit summary (example: "Change banner image") and click the blue button to "Publish changes".
Thank you for making a good suggestion! WhatamIdoing (talk) 02:53, 31 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

This article is good. It will be very useful for those who stop by lightly for business. To add cautiously, it would be better to indicate the average price range of restaurants and cafes. Meloncookie (talk) 06:28, 4 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
