[edit]Isn't this the constituency that the current Leader of the Opposition represents? Hobbitschuster (talk) 22:01, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
- Islington North, yes.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 22:01, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
Banner
[edit]I'm not a big fan of the current banner. The buses are distinctive (you can tell the photo was taken in London), but the banner doesn't showcase anything especially attractive or interesting about Islington. How about these alternatives? —Granger (talk · contribs) 18:27, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- I agree. My choice would by Alt 1, which is quite a good banner, then Alt 3. Alt 2 is pretty much as uninteresting as the current. Ground Zero (talk) 19:13, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- Alt 1, then alt 2. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 19:55, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- Alt 1 is the most interesting. Nelson Ricardo (talk) 20:12, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- Yep, Finsbury Park bus station makes a boring banner. #3 is probably the most representative of backstreet Islington, but #1 is the most interesting banner. There should probably be more in the article on the canal as a walking/cycling route; same for the New River! --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 21:07, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- My reaction was Alt 2, Alt 3, Alt 1, but I stayed in Finsbury Park when I was in London and I'm not too familiar with the canal, plus, the current banner makes me smile because it's a place I know. I suppose the canal scene is more interesting for travellers, though, although I like the compositions of Alt 2 and Alt 3 somewhat better. Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:42, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
Alt 1 seems to have the most support, so I'll substitute that one in. —Granger (talk · contribs) 15:49, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
