Merge to Upper Normandy[edit]
Seine Valley has been empty of content and unloved since the fork. As an extra-hierarchical region, it's hardly essential, while its presence as an Other Destination on Upper Normandy is embarrassing. This article doesn't serve the traveller in any shape or form. Any objections? --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 11:45, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- I'd go a step further and say delete it. Hobbitschuster (talk) 11:49, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- redirect to Upper Normandy. --Traveler100 (talk) 14:13, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- There's no point deleting it. - Isn't Paris in the Seine Valley? I would think that it extends past Normandy. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:37, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- Ordinarily, yes. Though this article seems to have been referring to the tourism region called "Seine Valley" in Normandy. See this and this. --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 22:25, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

Vfd discussion[edit]
A pointless extra-hierarchical region with no good place to merge to and nothing to merge. Hobbitschuster (talk) 11:50, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- Delete Agree with Hobbitschuster. An interposed article not all that useful for the traveller. Gizza (roam) 12:25, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose deletion for same reasons as given on the article's talk page, namely "T̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶s̶t̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶h̶y̶p̶e̶r̶l̶i̶n̶k̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶S̶e̶i̶n̶e̶ ̶V̶a̶l̶l̶e̶y̶ ̶l̶i̶t̶t̶e̶r̶e̶d̶ ̶a̶r̶o̶u̶n̶d̶ ̶N̶o̶r̶m̶a̶n̶d̶y̶-̶r̶e̶l̶a̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶a̶r̶t̶i̶c̶l̶e̶s̶. Plus if anyone ever wants to write a proper article, they can simply delete the redirect template and begin." The idea that there is "no good place to merge to" is nonsense; it should be redirected to Upper Normandy, its parent region. --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 14:40, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- Delete There is only one main space link to this article, from Upper Normandy. This article has never had any useful content in 10 years. AlasdairW (talk) 15:08, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- Redirect to parent region. It's a real place, thus a possible search term. We don't delete real places. Powers (talk) 20:14, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- Redirect to parent region with a short mentioning/listing of it there. Funny, reminds me of the discussion about Kura-Araks Lowland & Ağstafa. ;-) Ceever (talk) 08:19, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
- Question: Is the Seine Valley really only in Upper Normandy? Isn't Paris (or part of it) in the Seine Valley, too? Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:31, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
- Well the river does run through Paris. Yet more reason to delete the article, because a redirect to France would make even less sense. Hobbitschuster (talk) 19:33, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
- The "Seine Valley" in question refers to a stretch of the river in Upper Normandy (see this and this - it's a real destination, at least as far as the tourist industry is concerned). It is a 'tourist region' in the same vein as the Loire Valley, which also does not include the entire length of the river Loire, just a specific section. --ThunderingTyphoons! - OK, I understand and would support the suggested redirect. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:24, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
And the consensus is? drumroll --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 12:43, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
- Since consensus hasn't been established, I have redirected to Normandy. --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 10:51, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
