Hey SelfieCity & Traveler100, thanks for the feedback, but here we are again. Not counting the Traveller's Pub session last month, I'm being told "few readers will find this relevant / keep it short" with my first edit since. The pub discussion even called for more details (how to get to/from the airport, car rental options, charter providers, etc). I was actually coming back today to expand on Paris Le Bourget, considering it's the busiest private airport in Europe and the only information about it was added by me yesterday, but there seems to be some confusion as to whether this content is welcome or not. I mean, someone else can just write a sentence, add a couple links for private airports, and call it a day, but I was under the impression this was meant to be an informative site. Anyway, I think I'm going to limit my private aviation contributions to WikiTravel for now; they haven't removed/edited a single contribution of mine, and I'm able to write detailed paragraphs on the topic. --ReadyJetGo (talk) 17:47, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

(ec) @ReadyJetGo: This is probably a mistake. Ground Zero probably didn't realize that a relatively new user had added the information, and was just cleaning up the article and saw what didn't seem to be important, and therefore it was removed. I would suggest creating an article on Le Bourget and adding more detail there rather than in the Paris article. As the Musée de l’air et de l’espace is located there and in the area are a couple of shopping malls and a good number of hotels to support the convention centre, there is enough for a reasonable article. --Traveler100 (talk) 18:18, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Ikan Kekek: Yes, the first one is absolutely reasonable. The second one removes virtually all information I added. As mentioned, I'm not here to add a couple of links and call it a day, but I also don't want to write a 500 word essay on private jet travel in a given city. Adding some contextual information makes it more informative and engaging for the reader - all other details for the airports can be handled by any aviation company that I'm linking. Also, the same language used in previous edits (aircraft available ranging from economical single and twin engine props to luxury gulfstream and business jets) is considered promotional? If so I'll leave it out, but that's what led to a previous edit being mistaken for private/luxury jet travel only. --ReadyJetGo (talk) 18:22, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey @Ikan Kekek:, wanted to follow up off the Paris page as to not clutter it with unrelated questions. Just to clarify as an example, if I were to replace the Augusta, GA airport content with this ----- "Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) is serviced by Delta Connections with flights to Atlanta (ATL). American also offers connections to Charlotte (CLT) and Dallas (DFW), with seasonal routes available for Chicago (ORD), Miami (MIA), LaGuardia (LGA), Philadelphia (PHL), and Washington-National (DCA). Airlines typically fly CRJ-200 regional jets and Boeing 717-200 airliners, although they switch them out for larger passenger planes leading up to the Master's golf tournament. General aviation is another popular way for executives and golfers to reach the area. While most aircraft utilize the larger runways at KAGS, Daniel Field (KDNL) is also available for lighter aircraft, and is located just 4 miles south of Augusta National. Private aviation companies such as Augusta Aviation offer access to locally based aircraft, ranging from economical single and twin-engine planes to luxury business jets." ----- is it best to add the new content to the existing content box already on the page? I'm thinking that you might be able to encapsulate that a little, but it's definitely not my area of expertise. I'll give you an example, though:

ReadyJetGo, welcome to Wikivoyage. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you decide to stay. I'm sorry we got off to a bad start. Yes, I did not realize that you were a new contributor: I should have taken more time to explain my editing. I stand by my belief that the private/business aviation section of the Paris article should be brief because of the importance of everything else in that article. User:Traveler100's suggestion of creating a Le Bourget article and including the text you wrote there is a great idea. A local article would be a better place for it, and we can include a line in the Paris article like "for more information about private and business aviation, see Le Bourget", so that people who are looking for more information can find it easily. Hey @Ground Zero:. Sorry for the delayed response, have been super busy. No worries about the edit; I was just confused after the traveler's pub discussion about private aviation, and I was told to continue making edits, and that the content was welcome. I spend a good amount of time researching airports, companies, and other aspects of the general aviation market to put together simplistic content for readers, and it seemed like my efforts were being discarded. I've edited numerous posts with private aviation details, trying to get in & out quickly, as I'm only editing major cities where the service is frequently used for both business and leisure.
