Greeting[edit]

Hello, Ibrahim.Itavera! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals. Pashley (talk) 02:50, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring[edit]

Hi Ibrahim.Itavera, I appreciate your enthusiasm for contributing to Wikivoyage. This site operates on a principle of consensus; when a suggested change is controversial, we respond by discussing it on the article's talk page. You're welcome to try to convince people and build consensus in the talk page discussion, but it's not appropriate to ram your suggested change through over the objections of other editors. If you keep trying to do that, you are likely to end up blocked from editing. You might want to consider taking a step back from the Europe article and working on improving other articles for a while, maybe some destinations in Turkey. —Granger (talk · contribs) 14:20, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I strongly believe my text is not only better, it’s infinitely better than the quite poor original. Most importantly, the 2 people who talked to me never even came close to prove me wrong, be honest. The fact 2 people don’t agree with ONE SINGLE WORD in a long text and I’m already being outright threatened seems to indicate this community is an aggressive mafia and a total dictatorship? This is beyond extreme Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 19:15, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is beyond unbelievable. Point out one single incorrect or controversial term or point beyond that single word “bicivilizational” they raised an issue about. Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 19:18, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Are you suggesting I can’t edit the Europe page? I find that hard to believe Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 19:20, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I’m already being threatened in an extraordinarily fast, reckless fashion, after contributing the absolute BEST quality paragraphs to be seen here. Is this what you do here? Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 19:22, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So you can’t point out any mistakes? Why did you suggest me to edit articles about Turkey? What’s going on here? Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 19:31, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you don't want to respect consensus, you should start your own travel site. Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:59, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Is your own name consensus? There is absolutely no consensus, because I am not in agreement with the current extraordinarily poor content in many parts of the website. I do not agree. Therefore no consensus. You don’t want to discuss with me. You want to impose. Otherwise ALL of my postings in several pages, 90% of them with ZERO objections, wouldn’t have been deleted before there was even a talk about them. This behavior is beyond absurd and will definitely get exposed. Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 02:04, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Read Wikivoyage:Consensus. If there is no consensus for a change, the status quo is maintained. One individual's dissent does not constitute a lack of consensus, anyway. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:19, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Two people’s dissent about a SINGLE WORD bicivilizational does NOT, in any galaxy, warrant the deletion of ALL my posts in all pages, 90% of which had absolute ZERO controversy. The behavior of this community is beyond unbelievable and will most definitely get exposed with vigor. Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 02:23, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The only explanation for this extreme aggressive behavior by the community against a much more knowledgeable newcomer must be some seriously evil ideology like religious or racial hate against an imagined target. There is absolutely NO JUSTIFICATION for what happened, never Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 02:25, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Vidimian is a long-time contributor who is very knowledgeable about Turkey, so you can ping him to join the discussion. And also, you should read Wikivoyage:Tone. The dog2 (talk) 02:33, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am the knowledgeable person about several countries. This community’s behavior is extraordinarily wrong in so many ways. Everything, everything is wrong. And the content on the website is beyond shockingly poor. My level of knowledge is an ocean compared to current contributions’ pond. It WILL BE EXPOSED Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 02:36, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
FYI, I’m Brazilian, I’m from Brazil, as anyone with knowledge of internet an IP can see Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 02:37, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We don't have access to your IP information, for the record. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 02:53, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I didn’t ask you; plus it matters Zero. Everything this community has done is incredibly aggressive, extreme, undeniably wrong in so many levels. See earlier replies Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 02:58, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That was needlessly rude and passive aggressive. This is a wiki; anyone is allowed to reply. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 03:03, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, you were incredibly rude from the very beginning, not me. What this community has done is unbelievably aggressive and extreme , ultimately wrong on too many levels Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 03:06, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not our problem you could not follow Wikivoyage:Consensus, which this site has abided by for years. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 03:14, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You’re saying that and I very strongly disagree. Two people’s dissent about a SINGLE WORD bicivilizational does NOT, in any galaxy, warrant the deletion of ALL my posts in all pages, 90% of which had absolute ZERO controversy. The behavior of this community is beyond unbelievable and will most definitely get exposed with maximum vigor. Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 03:16, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The rest of your edits were needless fluff which goes against Wikivoyage:Avoid long lists and loses its lively travel tone. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 03:25, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Lively tone? The originals were worse than useless, an ocean of nondescript boredom that can be copied and pasted for any destination on Earth. People like you are dooming this website, absolute zero doubt about that. Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 11:48, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Before my edits the country list for South America had far more highlight for “Falkland Islands”, a minuscule archipelago whose ownership is far from sure and has almost zero travel content, than my country Brazil, a vast, endless universe of natural wonders much larger than the European Union. Same thing for the list for Europe, where Turkey a rival of Egypt for the richest historical content on planet Earth, isn’t even MENTIONED in the text!!! The current state of this website is the ultimate joke I’ve ever seen. The behavior of this community is beyond unbelievable; and will most definitely get exposed with vigor Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 12:08, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Chill out, man... Ain't nobody is stopping you from extending whatever article you like, but the same (agreed) rules apply to everyone here. You may think Brazil and Turkey are the best countries in the world period, still for other people they may look like hellholes, no matter the culture and history. This is a travel wiki, where you come to get accurate info on a place you actually already want to visit, not a who-can-use-the-biggest-words-contest wiki... You aren't the first one who thought they'll just come and turn the whole site upside-down. If you can't or don't want to keep the site-wide style, either fork it, or try to convince the current community about the need of the new approach. Once it's approved, you are golden... Until then, you can spit venom all you want, but the ban is about the only thing you'll get (I'm not voting on that, just stating the obvious...). TL;DR: http://meatballwiki.org/wiki/GoodBye -- andree 12:19, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Mx. Granger Your message is completely 100% dishonest and misleading. ALL my contributions (infinitely more insightful and knowledgeable than previous), 95% of them with zero, absolute ZERO controversy, were simply viciously deleted with ZERO discussion and ZERO communication at all. Incredible DISHONESTY and pure unfairness, utterly unprofessional…
Before my edits, country list for ‘South America’ had FAR more highlight for “Falkland Islands”, a minuscule archipelago with basically null travel content, than my country Brazil, a VAST, endless universe of natural WONDERS of Earth much larger than the European Union (?!). Same thing for the region / country list for Europe, where Turkey the cradle of several multi-millennia civilizations, including 85-90% of the Hellenic world and Earth’s 12,500-year-old Lost Civilization, making it a serious rival of Egypt for the most historical country on the PLANET, isn’t even MENTIONED in the text!! I mean like, NOT ONCE MENTIONED, while France gets a whole “Region” (?) all by itself and long, detailed descriptions?! All of this is beyond unimaginable… absolutely SURREAL to murder History like this.
Just be honest and straight away say the truth: WikiVoyage is a joke, a bastion of extreme BIGOTRY, PREJUDICE, BIAS, the capital of HATRED and ocean of utter DISHONESTY on the internet. Congrats to the few individuals who are destroying this Wiki, it will be tirelessly exposed. Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 14:43, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Calling a site bigoted with no underlying evidence is grounds for a ban. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 00:19, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have the biggest evidence ever. It’s right on the main pages of this enormously biased website. Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 00:36, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Huh? What about it do you consider bigoted? --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 00:49, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A person is now already suggesting a PERMANENT ban on my user account and even going as far as assuming he knows my future behavior. Whaaaat? Jesus Christ… This is so ludicrous. Obviously this community is an utter FRAUD, it’s a mafia of a few individuals maintaining an extraordinarily BIGOTED, criminally BIASED website and content. Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 20:28, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Let it be crystal clear here, other than you, never in my entire life have I been greeted with such animosity, aggression and hostility in a community I just joined. I’m NOT saying this is personal against me, I’m stating a simple fact. Obviously there’s a bigoted small group here that’s brutally suppressing any person who would challenge those beyond-absurd situations I already pointed out above ⬆️ Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 20:47, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Ikan Kekek @Mx. Granger @The dog2 @Andree.sk The greatest overarching mistake is to prioritize politics and political borders over real world, real history and culture and nature, real content, and that’s the reason WikiVoyage is so poor. This is not about me. If I say Brazil is much larger than the entire European Union, how much controversy? ZERO controversy, verifiable FACT. Brazil has more natural wonders than many South American countries combined? Absolutely ZERO controversy, verifiable FACT.
This is a travel website whose very main ‘South America’ gateway page (pre-edit), gave minuscule “Falkland Islands” way more highlight than natural-wonders leviathan, continent-sized Brazil… What a monumental error in so many ways, stemming out from the notion of Falkland Islands as a “political entity” with a “political dispute”. Well guess what, this ain’t WikiPolitics. Real world content matters; not hollow political concerns.
If I state Turkey is a cradle of several multi-millenia civilizations, including extraordinary 12,500-year-old Göbeklitepe, 4-millenia Hittites which inaugurated the Iron Age, most of the ancient Hellenic (not necessarily Greek) World and its greatest cities and ruins, etc etc, with immense tourism resources, countless sunny beaches with most sunshine in Europe etc etc, how much controversy? ZERO controversy, just basic FACT. Turkey has more history than many European or American nations combined? Absolute ZERO controversy, directly, easily verifiable FACT. The Ottoman Empire was a major power in European history for CENTURIES? ZERO controversy, FACT.
Yet the main gateway ‘Europe’ page does NOT EVEN MENTION this country in text, NOT ONCE… Jesus. Holy. Christ… this is beyond unimaginable, a galactical injustice, extremist bias (conscious or not) and monumental error whose reasons are too ugly to even peek into…
And whoever disagrees with this few-people consensus will be brutally suppressed. Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 16:46, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

User ban nomination[edit]

See Wikivoyage:User ban nominations#User:Ibrahim.Itavera. For the record, no-one hates you, but people who think they're being persecuted when they can't make unilateral edits simply can't function on a wiki. Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:06, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The only people who can’t function on a Wiki are the few people here that have treated me with extraordinary aggression, intolerance and bigotry since minute one of my participation and don’t have a tenth of my knowledge and qualifications to contribute to WikiVoyage, causing it to become the joke that it is, and I’ve already proven it is. Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 20:33, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Some individuals here should be so ashamed of themselves. They are simply destroying WikiVoyage, what a pity and a waste. Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 20:37, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have edited your block so you can comment on your ban nomination. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 21:37, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have zero comments on the most ridiculous and laughable fraud I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 21:45, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free to comment on this beyond-pathetic fraud yourself. Ibrahim.Itavera (talk) 21:46, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's a bold accusation to make. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 23:26, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
