Muni Estuary Nature Reserve

  • To be fair, the Muni Estuary is the boundary between Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, but since per Google Maps, a trip from Rio Muni to Libreville requires a hugely circuitous route and takes close to 11 hours to drive, listings in Libreville are not that useful. I suppose a boat trip would take less time, but could you really stay in Libreville and do a viable day trip to the park and back? Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:06, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SHB2000, it really feels discouraging when you keep saying I am making contributions because I want to win points. This reserve is near the border of Gabon, and I thought adding accomodation near to the reserve and close to the border should be provided. You should have advised or given me ideas on what to do instead of just concluding that I am making contributions because of points.You can do better please!Thanks. Ikan Kekek, Now I understand better on why listing in Libreville might not be useful because it might be stressful for some travelers because of it being indirect and the long hours drive. SHB2000 should have advised on this instead of making conclusion that I am editing because of points. I am open to corrections and I will definitely correct my mistakes anytime I am asked to. Not everyone that makes contributions here does that because of points. The major goal for making my contributions here is to let travelers know more about Africa and see the amazing places worth exploring here in Africa , and I will definitely do my best to make it easy and stress-free for travelers.Aderiqueza (talk) 12:52, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Aderiqueza, I knew this was near the border, but given that there are zero roads crossing the border in the near vicinity, common sense would have tell that listing accommodation in another country is something that no traveller would ever do, and therefore, something that was incentivised.
On the other hand, I apologize if my comments have caused any offence; however, this is how it came out to me. I will try and do better in the future in making more constructive criticism, but please acknowledge the fact that what you did is something that no traveller will ever do. Jiru phrasebook

This phrasebook for a language spoken by 3,400 people has no translations. w:Jiru language is only one sentence long, so I don't think there is much chance of this getting any useful content. Could you Nelospecial please check the phrasebooks you have created, make sure everything is correct, and then tell whether the phrasebooks of yours are reliable. Choctawhatchee National Forest

According to Google, this forest is "permanently closed". The US Forest Service has no mention of it on its website. Even if it still exists, it does not appear to be open for tourism. Ground Zero (talk) 19:05, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • My understanding of what happened here is that this national forest was established in 1908, but was largely given over to the military during WWII and is now mostly a United States Air Force base. What remains of the national forest is actually a few scattered parcels of land that are mixed use, there are no visitor facilities of any kind, and much of what remains is not even a forest anymore. The current portion of the Choctawhatchee, that is still managed by the Forest Service, consists of several dispersed parcels that total only 1,110 acres (1.73 sq mi, or 4.492 km²) ... and are managed by the Apalachicola National Forest.

There is enough content to be certain it is not referring to Tok Pisin. We should preserve the content by not deleting. However, we definitely do not want "Pidgin phrasebook" as a title since there is no one Pidgin language & we already have a Pidgin article.

Yes, move. But where? I wouldn't like "West African pidgin phrasebook", as I am pretty sure this pidgin isn't understood in say Senegal. It seems there are quite big variations already in Nigeria, but those may be workable. It seems to me that "Nigerian pidgin phrasebook" is good enough. Some dialects outside Nigeria can be covered also under that title, and if somebody would be offended by their dialect being called so, we can leave it to another phrasebook to be created if somebody cares enough. –LPfi (talk) 22:18, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
