  • Of course you want to keep the redirect, since you created it. I don't think we are catering to people whose command of English is so bad that they wouldn't remember the word "tea", and unlike you, I really don't see the likelihood of people inputting images of things into a search window, but even if they did, so what if they get no results? This is a text guide. Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:14, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Ikan Kekek: Unicode characters are by definition not images; I don't understand what you are trying to say here. And short of any policy, writing "We don't do [x]" just means "No one has done [x]"โ€”that is not a reason to not do it. โ€”Justin (koavf)โคTโ˜ฎCโ˜บMโ˜ฏ 03:26, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • No, we don't have to have a policy that anticipates every unusual thing someone might somehow think up. This is a text guide, and surely no-one is going to be searching with some kind of illustration of hot tea in a cup for a travel article on tea. Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:32, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • To have a record of it. I was surprised to see a normally serious user creating this link. I thought it might be a joke, but I want us to be on record as not agreeing to these kinds of links. Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:12, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Which makes sense. Take it for granted that this will be deleted, since the community clear thinks it should be but the solution here in terms of documentation (like I noted above) would be to state that article titles (including redirects) need to be plausible search terms and then if we conclude that individual Unicode characters are implausible (e.g. ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ญ โ†’ Western Sahara or โ‚ฃ โ†’ France or Money or โ„ก โ†’ Telephone service), then we don't have to anticipate every possible variation but have a very simple and straightforward rule. Now, I clearly don't see the value in such a rule and I think that even the barest benefit of a Unicode redirect outweighs any amount of discussion about deletion but I'm clearly in the minority. โ€”Justin (koavf)โคTโ˜ฎCโ˜บMโ˜ฏ 01:20, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. We normally allow even the most improbable of terms, such as Toronto (Prince Edward Island), to be redirects (even if there's no history to preserve) simply to avoid having these pointless deletion discussions. There's nothing at Toronto (Prince Edward Island), not even a speck on the map, and the target page to which that term redirects contains no mention of "Toronto". K7L (talk) 13:05, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but it is a real place name, see w:Toronto, Prince Edward Island. Pashley (talk) 07:58, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Result: Speedily deleted. Again, I want to go on record as questioning the need to wait 14 days before making obvious calls like this one, regardless of the presence of nonsensical dissenting opinions like some of the above. -- AndreCarrotflower (talk) 15:46, 4 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The information here (rules and contact information for a guided tour) should be summarized and included as text in English, not displayed as an image in Spanish. Also, the copyright tag seems to be invalid, as the image is not a photo of "a copyrighted work of art, sculpture, or architecture". โ€”Grangerย (talk ยท contribs) 14:18, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

oooops, my bad... roger, will comply, sorry for the headache. Ibaman (talk) 15:44, 4 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Although you could argue that this file might have an important place somewhere on Wikivoyage, it could fairly easily be turned into (original) Wikivoyage text and used on a Wikivoyage article. Selfie City (talk) 01:32, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy Delete. This is clearly a copyright violation and should go immediately. If I'd found it before it was nominated, I'd have speedied it. As is, I'll wait a day or two to hear other opinions before I act. Pashley (talk) 06:51, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. This isn't a work of art, sculpture, or architecture; this is a block of text which someone has uploaded as an image. Rephrase the text in proper Queen's English and in your own words instead of quoting directly from a non-free, foreign-language document. K7L (talk) 13:14, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. Yes Done. Pashley (talk) 02:20, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Does anyone object, or should I go ahead & speedy delete? Andre? Pashley (talk) 02:20, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No objection whatsoever, I just want to make sure everyone understands that VfDs should not normally be acted on until 14 days after the nomination. (That obviously doesn't apply to copyvios, but I didn't know this was a copyvio at the time that I made the above comment to Ibaman.) -- AndreCarrotflower (talk) 02:28, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Is now redundant as replaced with a wikidata check. All occurrences were checked and corrected if a false positive. Remaining uses, that are also listed in Category:Articles without Wikipedia links (via Wikidata), have now been removed. --Traveler100 (talk) 10:39, 30 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
